Laps for Kids Meetings - Sunday 8/21 & Monday 8/22
Sunday, August 14th, 2005A few quick announcements before the next Fast 4 Kids Foundation meeting…
Gary Kannegiesser, Laps for Kids World Record race team captain
(www.lapsforkids.com), will fly in from Ohio mid-morning on Sunday 8/21 and be
with us for the Monday night meeting. He is scheduling meetings both days with
any potential sponsors, committee leaders, etc. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP
WHO/WHEN SHOULD BE IN THIS LINE-UP SO THAT WE CAN PROPERLY BOOK HIS TIME.
The dates for the Laps for Kids dinner/tournament have been shifted to better
tie in with the Guinness World Record activities. Dinner/auction will now be
on Saturday 12/3 (instead of Friday 12/2) so that attendees will feel the
excitement first-hand of the world record attempt in action! Outback has been
incredibly generous and gracious in working around a previously conflicting
catering commitment so that they can donate food/service. We appreciate their ongoing support at our events!
The golf tournament moves to Sunday 12/4 morning. When the golfers complete
their straight and long drives at Whirlwind, they’ll be returning to Bondurant
in time to witness the Laps for Kids team break the karting World Record and
each take their own hot laps on the winning race course. Bondurant will be
open to the public to celebrate and cheer on these victory laps as well. Cody
Hayes of State Mortgage has stepped up to coordinate youth bands (marching,
jazz, and rock) to provide entertainment for the afternoon. Thanks! Namaste
Together making a difference,
Jacqueline

DIRECTIONS TO F4K FOUNDATION MEETING
The next Fast 4 Kids Foundation meeting will be held next week on Monday night
(08/22/05) at 7 PM. Please note the location and meet us at:
American Fidelity
6900 E. Camelback Road
2nd Floor Conference Room
Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Many thanks to Michael Brown for making this meeting space possible! This is
the AMTRUST building, directly next to Niemen Marcus at Scottsdale Fashion
Square, on the NW corner of Camelback Road and Goldwater. Everyone can park in front of the building.
This is a card-access secured building, so someone will be at the front to let
you in up until 7 PM. If for any reason you are running late, please call
602.758.1558 so that we know and can let you in. So that we do not have to
continually interrupt the meeting by leaving the conference room to run
downstairs and let people into the building, please plan on being on time.
