BlueViews - Sanctuary for the Soul @ Unity of Phoenix
What was your answer to the question, "What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?"
The only real plan that I knew I wanted for certain was to be at the 7 PM Sanctuary of the Soul service at Unity of Phoenix (www.unityphx.org). Before all the horn blowing, Auld Lang Syne, and champagne, I couldn’t think of a nicer way to let go of 2005 and set an intention for 2006.
"I am opening up in sweet surrender to the luminous love light of the One."
Surrender has been a major point of resistance for me throughout the year, as funny as that may sound! I struggled with clinging onto projects where I was too attached to the results, forgetting that the process and the journey are where the heart and the lesson blossom. This showed up with great force at the end of 2005, with so many unexpected events thrown my way that I felt completely at a loss of where to turn. So I turned inward, asking Spirit for peace and comfort. Although it was out of character to my friends and loved ones, I did not want to be with people or social. I took time by myself to clear the clutter in my physical, mental, and emotional space.
To affirm this choice of action, the intention stone I pulled out of the blessed purple bags at Unity this year is SOLITUDE. The angels made sure that there would be no question that I had received the right and perfect stone by matching it EXACTLY with the color of the shirt that I wore to service! They were giggling around me, I’m sure ;)~
"I am opening up in sweet surrender to the luminous love light of the One."
I am opening up to putting myself first, when otherwise I would have used up every ounce of my being for service to others, leaving little to no energy for my personal needs. I considered it selfish to not give all that I am when my life is full of abundance.
However, my friend Bill Krenz advised me recently, "A lot has happened to you in a short period of time. That’s the price for being high driven. Your spirit has given you signs to slow down. Your contribution to this world does make a difference, but if you don’t take of yourself you will not be able to contribute more to our world. Dedication is a lifetime effort, so look at your efforts as a lifetime commitment."
And so it is. Amen.
